JELANG AKHIR TAHUN, TPS TAMBAH NEW SERVICE

Surabaya (10/11) – Approaching the end of 2023, Surabaya Container Terminal (TPS) as a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Subholding (SPTP), has once again gained trust to serve a new service, which is operated by four shipping companies at once.

The new service that docks at TPS is called the Korea, China, Indonesia (KCI) service which is operated by SITC, T.S. Line (TSL), Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Namsung with routes Jakarta - Surabaya - Shekou - Xiamen - Pusan – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Jakarta.
TPS Main Director, Wahyu Widodo said that this new KCI service adds to the regular services at TPS, "They are present regularly, once a week with a loading and unloading capacity of 2900 TEUs," said Wahyu.

This new service will start at the end of October 2023. The first ship to dock at TPS (maiden call) is MV.TS Mundra which is operated by TSL. This was followed by the docking of the MV SITC Mingcheng on (3/11) which was operated by SITC. Next on (11/11), MV. Lorraine is operated by ONE. Meanwhile MV. Starship Neptume operated by Namsung is scheduled to dock next week.

SITC Surabaya representative, Ari Suswati, who at that time together with TPS Management welcomed the ship's arrival at TPS, expressed his joy because this new service would further strengthen global trade traffic and at the same time strengthen the cooperative relationship with TPS that had existed so far.
"Thank you TPS for supporting our business, and I hope TPS can always provide the best service, so that in the future this collaboration can be continued with other new services," said Ari.

Wahyu also said that throughout 2023, from January to November 2023, TPS received many new trusts, many new services were included at TPS.
Throughout 2023, the flow of containers at TPS was observed to increase by 5.4% compared to the previous year in the same period, namely January to October 2023, which was recorded at 1,193,587 TEUs, which includes international containers reaching 1,138,336 TEUs and domestic containers reaching 55,251 TEUs.

The above achievements are in line with the market share of container services in the Tanjung Perak Port environment. TPS continues to dominate with a service portion of 36% for all services: international and domestic. Especially for the market share of international container services, TPS continues to dominate with a service portion of 82%.
During the 2023 period, TPS recorded an increase in loading and unloading performance, namely at 58.2 boxes/ship/hour, far above the loading and unloading performance set by the Ministry of Transportation through the Tanjung Perak Main Port Authority Office in Surabaya: 48 boxes/ship/ hour. This improvement in loading and unloading performance is carried out by continuously implementing compliance with the provisions and principles of safe and healthy work in accordance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health (K3) regulations.
"Thank you for the performance of the entire TPS team, grateful that this joint work has resulted in increased customer trust by entrusting their port services to TPS. "Thank you to customers who have entrusted their business to TPS," concluded Wahyu.
